| Warframe: Tons of New Features Revealed at PAX EAST 2015 Posted: 09 Mar 2015 12:19 PM PDT Digital Extremes revealed numerous exciting changes and additions coming to Warframe in 2015 during its recent PAX East after-dark livestream on March 6th. TennoLive 2015, the live-audience livestream, was chock full of new announcements for the Free-to-Play blockbuster, Warframe. Fans who missed the event can watch it on the official Warframe YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8RKyh2StKM TennoLive is an exclusive live community event hosted by the Warframe Development team to reveal details of upcoming content and gameplay plus, have fun gettting to know their fellow Tenno in real life. Details revealed at TennoLive included the unveiling of Parkour 2.0, a new enemy faction, a new Dragon-themed Warframe, new Melee Weapons, and a New Prime Warframe. With the new Parkour system coming, Warframes will have new ways to navigate both new and familiar tricky areas with swag moves. There will be a trio of new weapons to wield while doing so, including the Community Concept weapon, the Mios, the Puncture Glaive and the Dark Dakra, in honor of the two year-anniversary of Warframe. Introducing a little bit of mythical mystery; a new dragon-themed Warframe, Chroma, was introduced to the thundering approval of fans both live in the audience and watching at home on Twitch. Additionally, Volt was revealed as the latest Warframe to soon receive the gilded Prime treatment. Players will also be treated to a new enemy faction named the Sentients as well as a new PvP-focused capture-the-flag mode, 'Capture the Cephalon' and a new Sanctuary area. All new features and content revealed will be released throughout the rest of 2015. Fans tuning into the bi-weekly Warframe Devstreams will continue to be the first to hear additional details and launch dates for this new content. | Star Trek Online Delta Recruitment Begins April 2 Posted: 09 Mar 2015 12:18 PM PDT Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc. and Cryptic Studios announced Delta Recruitment – a new in-game event set to prepare the world of Star Trek Online for the upcoming Iconian War. Beginning April 2, both novice and veteran players will have the opportunity to earn unique rewards when they take their first steps to conclude a conflict that has been brewing in Star Trek Online for more than 5 years. In an effort to strengthen forces, new captains created during the Delta Recruitment event will earn progression based rewards including gear, week long events, upgrade materials, and valuable numerics through both personal and community-wide goals. Existing players will receive a new character slot to create a Delta Recruit and each of the progression based rewards comes with an account-wide unlock variant in order to keep their alternate characters up to speed while leveling a new recruit. Star Trek Online is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online game where players can pioneer their own destiny as Captain of a Federation starship, become a Klingon Warrior and champion the Empire through the far reaches of the galaxy, or rebuild the Romulan legacy as the commander of a Romulan Republic Warbird. | FFXIV Heavensward: Launch Date Set For June 23rd, 2015 Posted: 09 Mar 2015 12:17 PM PDT This past weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East, Square Enix, Inc. announced that FINAL FANTASY® XIV: HEAVENSWARD™, the highly-anticipated first expansion for the popular MMORPG, will be released on June 23, 2015, in North America. Also, alongside versions available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC, a Mac OS version of the title will be available for the first time, and can be acquired through the Square Enix Online Store. Players who preorder will be able to get early access to the online title starting June 19, 2015. | Summoner’s Legion: R2Games to Host First Live Championship Posted: 09 Mar 2015 12:12 PM PDT Global games publisher R2Games has announced today the launch of its Summoner’s Legion Championships – the first live competition for the company’s new browser CCG – to take place at the end of March. The cutoff for players to qualify will be the 1v1 battles on March 18th, after which the top 16 ranked players in the Arena will automatically earn a spot in the tournament. Those who are unable to participate will be replaced by the next ranked player. The Championship will take place from March 25th to March 28th, using an exclusive server where competitors will receive all available cards to build their decks. Rules of the event will require players to use a different class deck for each round of battles. All rounds except the Final will be best-of-5, with the first player to win three battles advancing to the next stage. The Final round will be best-of-7, and the first player to win four battles will be crowned Champion. The Summoner’s Legion Champion will receive a $2000 cash prize, as well as a surprise reward. The 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded $1000 and $500, respectively. And for those fans that don’t make the cut into the Championship, R2Games will be streaming all the battles along with live commentary on its Twitch channel.
