| Everquest Next Worldwide Debut at SOE Live Posted: 30 Jul 2013 10:50 AM PDT Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) today announced that its annual community fan event, SOE Live, is officially sold out of advance passes, and the extremely limited number of tickets that have been reserved for walkups are expected to sell out quickly. Founded in 2000 and formerly known as Fan Faire, SOE Live has grown to become the destination of choice for MMO players around the world. Players that are not able to experience SOE Live in person will have the opportunity to virtually join in the fun by tuning into the action on Twitch TV. “Between the addition of our PlanetSide 2 and DC Universe Online communities, and the crowds anticipating the debut of EverQuest Next, this will be an extraordinary SOE Live,” said Laura Naviaux, Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, Sony Online Entertainment. “Our players are our extended family, so every year we look for new ways to make SOE Live one of their best weekends ever. The official reveal of EverQuest Next is a long time coming, and we absolutely cannot wait for August 2. We’re confident that it, along with the keynotes, pool party, panels, talent show and costume contest, will blow everyone away!”
The event, which will take place Aug. 1-4 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, will feature content from nearly the entire portfolio of SOE titles, including EverQuest, EverQuest II, DC Universe Online, Free Realms, PlanetSide 2, Dragon’s Prophet, as well as the much anticipated official worldwide debut of EverQuest Next. Developers will be hosting panel discussions on a variety of topics throughout the course of the weekend, and with more than 100 separate events scheduled, there promises to be endless entertainment. | Kings and Legends Unleashes New Cards With All-new Abilities Posted: 30 Jul 2013 10:34 AM PDT Kings and Legends, the unique card-based, free2play browser title, announced today a further card expansion for its exciting new update, "Dark Descent." This latest update, featuring brand-new cards with unique new abilities, increased level caps and much more now also receives the first in the all-new series of Zodiac cards; Virgo. "Dark Descent" takes players on a wild ride with hugely expanded Halfblood and Undead cards. Players began immediately opening the new booster packs after its launch in July and discussion on how to use and defeat these new cards heated up the public chat and hasn't slowed down since! The newest boss dungeon, King's Mausoleum, is the most challenging that players have faced yet and how the new Werewolves, Dark Riders, and more can be used in the battle is still a hot topic for debate.
Beginning today, players can now get their hands on the all-new and rare Virgo card. | Wargaming Takes Off to Gamescom 2013 Posted: 30 Jul 2013 08:45 AM PDT Wargaming today announced its presence at gamescom 2013, the world's largest trade fair for interactive entertainment to be held at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, from August 21–25, 2013. "Last year Wargaming took gamescom by storm with a massive booth, great giveaways and hands-on opportunities with World of Tanks and World of Warplanes," said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi. "This year we're going even bigger with the debut of World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition and a multitude of eSports related events that will make every day of the show extremely memorable."
Wargaming will be pulling out all the stops with a 700 square meter booth located in Hall 8.1, Stand A-030. There, gamescom attendees will be entertained by live stage shows, take part in live developer QAs, and get their chance to see and play World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition. Wargaming will also be giving visitors the opportunity to walk home with amazing prizes and gifts, including high-end gaming PCs from Alienware, as well as peripherals from Razer and Logitech. Fans of eSports will be able to take part in amateur tournaments, or watch the pros prove their mettle in a number of professional level competitions. The WCG 2013 National Finals for World of Tanks will also be held at the Wargaming booth Thursday and Friday, while the Wargaming.net League Season Finals will be held at partner ESL booth.
Gamers not able to attend gamescom this year can breathe a sigh of relief, as all of Wargaming's gamescom activities will be livestreamed in German, English and Russian, giving stream watchers the chance to take part in live chat. |
| Forge of Empires Progressive Era Launched Posted: 30 Jul 2013 08:42 AM PDT Today InnoGames, released the Progressive Era for its strategic browser game Forge of Empires on all major markets. The Progressive Era is the game's ninth age and introduces major new features, such as tarmac roads for automobiles, a completely new world map and single player campaign and the introduction of trenches and tanks to the battle maps. Progressive technologies and achievements, such as zeppelins, two-lane streets and billboards will drastically change the vista of players' towns. The single-player campaign takes place on the largest continent to explore so far. While struggling for military control over the new area, players can choose from several options, to support either of the rivaling factions, or to strive for a peaceful solution- but they have to be careful! Not everything is as it seems, and soon, they are entangled in a murderous play of power, lies and deceit. With over 50 quests, the story campaign is one of the most extensive to date, and it contains several key NPCs, like Queen Lydia, General Joffre and Tsar Piotr, to deal with.

| Spirit Tales; Mystical New Lands & Increased Level Caps Posted: 30 Jul 2013 08:35 AM PDT  This week Koramgame will be releasing a new update for the ever popular Spirit Tales known for its fun game play and seemingly limitless character customization possibilities. The update includes an increase in level cap from 60-65 available to all players as well as the grand opening of three new lands discovered through the hard work of the tenacious and intrepid Glorious Shield; the Oblivion Isles, the Coral Sea and Eons Trench. Owing to the unique ore that forms the Oblivion Isles it has lay hidden in the Sea Kingdom for a millennium. No living mainlander has seen the Isles… until now. The tribes here are completely different to that of the Southern Mainland, namely the Brinescales. Since the Silver Fin Pirates showed up they have distanced themselves. Can Ayumi and the Glorious Shield solve this problem?
 In the process of helping the residents of the Oblivion Isles expel the Silver Fin Pirates the Coral Sea was found. Unfortunately the Sea Kingdom's King and Queen have gone missing, perhaps been captured, and a rebel army has taken the crown. Can the Glorious Shield find the King and Queen and bring peace back to the Sea Kingdom? Eons Trench is located in a ravine deep down at the bottom of the ocean. Because of this, its ecology and life forms differ massively from the other parts of the Sea Kingdom. Some of the creatures from there have come under the control of the Silver Fin Pirates, joining the rebel army in attacking Sea Dragon City. Glorious Shield, help repel the invaders!
