R2Games Begins Open Beta for Eternal Saga Posted: 19 Jul 2013 09:17 AM PDT Reality Squared Games (R2Games) is running an open beta on the R2Games platform for Eternal Saga, a fantasy-themed, free-to-play browser game developed by 4399 Studios (China). Players can go to eternal.r2games.com to join in, starting at 10:00 AM EDT. The world of Eternal Saga is struggling against a demon invasion, and it's up to you to return peace and serenity to the world. Along the way you'll develop a powerful set of skills, lead the charge in epic guild battles, and raise pets that, if trained well, will fight faithfully by your side.   The game takes classic elements from others in the genre while delivering  its own unique twists. Players start by choosing a character name and faction: Umbra, Luma, or Astra. After being introduced to the main systems of the game, they'll then choose to fight as either a Warrior, Hunter, or Mage. As you progress through the game you'll find newer, more powerful weapons that can be fortified with precious gems, enchantments, and upgrades to make them even stronger. Your old gear can then be sold, fed to your mount, or donated to fellow guild members.     Customize your character by choosing from a large selection of clothing, weapons, and wings in the Shop.  Other fun accessories like animal paw prints and speech bubbles are also available. Complete daily activities to level up your character and earn cool items. Fight in single or multiplayer dungeons. Webzen Releases New Advanced Class for C9: Demonisher Posted: 19 Jul 2013 09:10 AM PDT   WEBZEN, a global leader in next-generation free-to-play games, releases a brand new class for the adrenaline-pumping 3D Action MMORPG, CONTINENT OF THE NINTH SEAL (C9). Starting Wednesday, July 24, 2013 (Global Server Time), C9 actionists will be able access DEMONISHER, the newest advanced class for the Shaman. In addition, WEBZEN will host a gamer gear giveaway and special events to celebrate the game's first anniversary. DEMONISHER Featuring long-range magical attacks and incredible surges of strength, DEMONISHER is the fifth advancement within the Shaman class. Utilizing a mystical orb as her primary weapon, this character can launch powerful offensive strikes, while evading attacks from her enemies. By tapping into the power of the orb, she can transform into another being and inflict explosive damage on all those who oppose her. After transformation, the character's speed increases and some of her skills are strengthened. DEMONISHER can also assist her allies in battle by enfeebling her enemies.     THE STORY The Ikejan Mages, an ancient order that has protected Glenheim, sought a way to maximize the connection with the spirits to defend the Sixth Continent, Raebin, from invading monsters. To achieve this, they developed a new magical tool to communicate with the spirits called an Orb. Instead of connecting with the spirits, the Orb reacted unexpectedly to spiritual energy and created a new source of power, unlike any other. Some of the Shamans craved new power and became obsessed with the Orb's ability to tap into the power of souls rather than spirits. However, the other Shamans objected to the use of such depraved magic and war broke out between the two factions. To end this conflict, sanctions were placed on use of the Orb by the Shamans, but those who still wanted to use it gathered under the protection of Paulo, an elder Ikejan Mage. Dark times fall upon the world of Glenheim once again. The Orb-wielding Shamans use this opportunity to reveal themselves and unleash their new-found magic, calling themselves DEMONISHERS. SPECIAL EVENTS To celebrate the release of DEMONISHER and C9's First Anniversary, WEBZEN will host a series of special events on July 24, 2013 (GST): Gamers can visit one of the MMO sites that has partnered with C9 to obtain a code for a free promotional chest, filled with in-game items. Players can celebrate the game's first anniversary by participating in a massive online competition between servers during an in-game drop event. During this period, gamers will battle monsters that drop free items and collect special tickets for additional rewards. Prizes include five V8MA Gaming Mouse devices from BLOODY (featuring dual optics, exclusive X'Glide Metal mouse feet and Ultra Core 3 software). War Thunder Launches New Tanks from Battle of Prokhorovka Posted: 18 Jul 2013 05:29 PM PDT Gaijin Entertainment, developer and publisher of multi-platform video games and winner of numerous industry awards, announced new ground force additions to their F2P MMO War Thunder in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Prokhorovka.   Regarded as one of the largest tank battles in military history and Gaijin honors the Battle of Prokhorovka by incorporate two of the most famous tanks that took part in that battle, the T-34 and the Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.L into War Thunder. AND…they are still improving the overall quality of the game rather than using a six-year old engine like another Tank game.
