Darkfall Unholy Wars: First gameplay video Posted: 22 Oct 2012 11:58 AM PDT Darkfall Unholy Wars: First gameplay video Today Aventurine announces Darkfall Unholy Wars’ first gameplay video, revealing information for the first time about the Role System. In Darkfall Unholy Wars, one of the roles destined to serve players that love heavy melee combat is the Warrior. One of the Warrior schools is the Baresark. Baresarks like close combat, and are specialized in dealing with multiple enemies. Their skills affect anyone that is standing near them or crosses their path. - Maelstrom is a weapon-based attack that deals damage to anyone around the Baresark. - Stomp is an attack that will knock everyone away from the Baresark. - Stampede dramatically increases the Baresark’s sprinting speed for a short period of time, while damaging and knocking back any targets that cross his path. - Roar is an Aoe (area-of-effect) debuff that reduces the base attributes of anyone inside its range. - Pulverize (Ultimate attack) is Baresark’s best weapon to deal with multiple opponents in a tight space. Pulverize damages everyone around the Baresark, knocks them back and blinds them for a short period of time. Darkfall Unholy Wars will be available for PC, via digital download, on November 20, 2012. We haven’t received much new information on this title since E3 but can’t help being incredibly excited to see this title taking another step closer to launch!

Elder Scrolls Online Reveal Interview Posted: 22 Oct 2012 10:24 AM PDT Elder Scrolls Online Reveal Interview DizzyPW was invited along with a small group of hand picked MMORPG enthusiasts to travel to Zenimax Studios in Maryland last week for the first ever hands-on gameplay with Elder Scrolls Online. Following a 6 hour play session he had a chance to sit down with  the Game Director Matt Firor to get a feel for the basics of the title including the world reveal of their Megaserver technology and incorporation of social media into in-game faction creation. With the popular elements of both Skyrim and major MMORPGs being melded into one AAA title, there’s plenty of reason to be excited for Zenimax’s upcoming beta plans.

New Details Emerge About Absolute Force Online Posted: 22 Oct 2012 09:48 AM PDT Absolute Force Online (AFO), developed by TQ Digital Entertainment from NetDragon, first grabbed attention at Gamescom 2011. NetDragon welcomed feedback during the event, and the AFO team has worked all year to implement that feedback in the upcoming title. A visually stunning MMOFPS built on the Unreal Engine 3 technology, the gameplay of AFO is set apart from many traditional FPS. Imagine a world with massive battles, thousands of players, and the fun of dominating your competitors – and Absolute Force Online promises to bring all that and more.   Absolute Force Online promises luscious graphics that perfectly display full-motion video effects. The real-time dynamic simulation, innovative weapon system, and distinctive game play will let players immerse themselves in combat. A Vehicle Mode trains players to attack swiftly and defend resolutely on the battlefield. The game also promises to be highly customizable, allowing users to create their own avatars and backgrounds.     Absolute Force Online all begins in December of 1979 with the war of Afghanistan with the first shots fired by the Soviet Union. After the war, a newly born military organization called ‘Fallen Angel’ rose up and received world-wide attention. The duty of cracking down on the rogue group ‘Fallen Angel’ was given to an underground mercenary faction, known as ‘Justice Hand’. ‘Justice Hand’ is an underground mercenary group composed of the elite armed forces from the nations around the world. Their mission is to safeguard global peace and stability, taking ‘Fallen Angel’ as a volatile threat that had to be eliminated. Which side will you take in this Good versus Evil Battle? Absolute Force Online will allow players to emerge themselves into a highly competitive world. As players try to dominate the world there are many unique game features that will enhance each player’s game play experience. One of these features that AFO offers is the “Exclusive Hero Battlefield Mode” which is the most unique feature of the game, sometimes dying in the game is not a bad thing.   AFO is currently in development and closed beta is estimated to start towards the end of 2012, but just in time for the holiday season.
