PS Plus won't be required to stream/record videos on PS4

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 03:00 PM PDT

Yesterday we learned that the Xbox One will require a Xbox Live Gold account in order for you to stream or record videos of the games you play. That's pretty lame. So what about the PlayStation 4? Will you need a PlayStation Plus to utilize these same features?

"No," President of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida simply stated when asked about it on Twitter.

Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm secures Indiegogo funding

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 02:30 PM PDT

Nyu Media and doujin circle PDW: Hotapen have reached their crowdfunding goal for Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm, a Japanese indie fighting game developed by a trio of former SNK developers behind the King of Fighters series.

The Indiegogo campaign surpassed its $68,000 target with just three days to spare. With what little time remains the development team aspires to raise an additional $5,000 for GGPO, a type of middleware designed to minimize lag in online matches. Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is striving to release next February for PC.

Wargaming has announced the first details of their 8.8 update for free-to-play MMO World of Tanks today. New Soviet and German machines have been added  -- expect more medium and heavy tanks. The German line has been rebalanced, too.

Two Chinese machines have also been added as well as a new battle area called the wintry Tundra.

You'll find a list of the new vehicles below, and you'll find images of some of the tanks and Tundra in our gallery.

PlayStation All-Stars Island wants you to drink Coke Zero

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 01:00 PM PDT

I can't look at PlayStation All-Stars Island without laughing. While some might be put off by the blatant advertising tie-in with Coca-Cola Zero for this free iOS and Android game -- that plane is beyond ridiculous, I'll admit -- it's just too damn silly for me to keep a straight face.

The game itself is a few separate mini-games, each representing an established PlayStation property. I hope you aren't utterly tired of endless runners, because that's what you're getting -- only now there are the familiar faces of Nathan Drake, Sackboy, Cole MacGrath, and Kat.

I've sat in enough advertising classes to know that someone is genuinely patting themselves on the back for coming up with this advergame. Such a strange world we live in.

Introversion, F1 2012, and Sanctum 2 are your daily deals

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 12:00 PM PDT

Thursday brings us a new installment of the Humble Weekly Bundle; this week it's the games of UK indie studio Introversion that are on offer. Uplink, DEFCON, Darwinia, and its multiplayer sibling Multiwinia are available for a price of your choosing but you'll also get early access to Prison Architect if you pay $19.99 or more. That sounds a lot for a Humble Bundle but that's still $10 off the game's price on Steam.

Speaking of Steam, it's time for a new set of weekend deals; first up we have the recently released action-RPG The Incredible Van Helsing, which is half price at £5.99/$7.49. Also reduced this weekend is F1 2012 which has been cut by 75% to just £6.24/$9.99. You can also save on a Shadow Warriors Redux/Duke Nukem 3D bundle that's just £4.08/$5.10 for both games.

GamersGate has its usual quartet of indie deals today, the pick probably being the tower defence action of Sanctum 2 which is £4.79/$5.99. There's a few other deals to take note of -- Of Orcs and Men is reduced to £6.80/$10.20 and Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Warfighter are just £4.78 and £7.98, respectively, although that seems to be a UK-only deal.

Payday 2 is profitable and it's not even out yet

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 11:30 AM PDT

Despite the fact that it hasn't even launched yet, Payday 2 is profitable. The cooperative heist game, which is currently playable in beta, hits Steam on Tuesday. "Starbreeze today has once again demonstrated that our strategy to invest in our own brands is correct," said CEO Bo Andersson-Klint in a statement translated by Gamechup.

"We now look forward to royalties that can ensure the company's development of its own IP to come," he continued. "For Payday 2 to generate revenue to the company six days before release is, of course, very unusual for games of this size and strengthens the long-term vision of our strategy." From the sound of it, the success is entirely warranted.

Overkill Software also has a last-minute treat for owners of the original Payday: the sequel's beta should now be in your Steam library and will remain there until launch next week.

Now Freddy Krueger is getting an NES-themed figurine

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 11:00 AM PDT

And the world becomes a little bit better.

Hot on the heels of NECA's incredible videogame Jason Voorhees, which sold out super fast at San Diego Comic-Con, comes videogame Freddy Krueger. Like his Friday the 13th counterpart, Freddy's look is based on his sprite in the LJN-published A Nightmare on Elm Street on the NES. Whereas Jason is bright and purple, Freddy is red from head to toe.

The seven-inch figure will be available this November but will be limited to a single production run. It doesn't seem like it'll be a con-exclusive like Jason was, though I doubt that'll make it any easier to obtain. If you do manage to snag it and already own Grimace up there, you can film your own Freddy vs. Jason 2 using stop-motion animation!

By the way, did you know that it was Rare who actually developed the NES Nightmare? Or that Atlus made Friday? What happened there?

Live show: Worms Clan Wars early gameplay

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 10:30 AM PDT

[Mash Tactics airs Monday through Friday at 4p.m. Pacific on Dtoid.TV. Watch Rick 'King Foom' Olson play a variety of games, each day with its own theme. With a heavy focus on community and viewer interaction, you can be as much a part of the show as anything else.]

If you've ever caught Mash Tactics before, you'll know that one of our favorite multiplayer games has always been Worms Revolution. It's easy to get into, a ton of people have it, and it has been used as a fall back many times (some would say too many) when other plans just don't work out, or when we just need to kill a little bit of time. It would seem however, that after well over a hundred hours of epic battles, it might be about time to move on to the next iteration.

It'll be rough to say if this will be as popular with our crowd as the last title just yet, due to the fact that this evening I'll the playing single-player campaign, but we should at least be able to get a feel for what the new game has in store. Word is that this may just may be the biggest and best Worms title to date, but we'll let you decide that for yourself as we showcase Worms Clan Wars, a week before it's release tonight on Dtoid.TV.

Iwata: Nintendo going third party is bad in the long term

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 10:00 AM PDT

Nintendo should go third party, they say. "Nintendo should have their IP on every platform," they say. No matter how many times CEO Satoru Iwata or anybody in Nintendo management have repeated themselves, there's always some new chucklehead with the brilliant idea that putting Nintendo games on other consoles will result in a massive influx of revenue.

You should be happy to know that Satoru Iwata agrees with you! Nintendo would make a lot of money... in the short term, that is.

In a discussion with CVG, Iwata made himself as clear as possible: "If I was to take responsibility for the company for just the next one or two years, and if I was not concerned about the long-term future of Nintendo at all, it might make sense for us to provide our important franchises for other platforms, and then we might be able to gain some short-term profit. However, I'm really responsible for the long-term future of Nintendo as well, so I would never think about providing our precious resources for other platforms at all."

B-b-b-but iOS! But the Wii U's flagging sales!

VG woodblock artist is now making a ukiyo-e fighting game

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 09:30 AM PDT

Last year, illustrator Jed Henry produced a line of fan art that re-imagined Nintendo characters as samurai, all rendered in the Japanese woodblock print style. His Ukiyo-e Heroes series proved incredibly popular, leading to a ridiculously successful Kickstarter campaign to turn his art into real woodblock prints made by professional woodblock carver David Bull.

Jed's now taking his talents to the next level by developing a game using the same distinctive ukiyo-e look. Edo Superstar is a fighting game for iOS and Android devices that has been infused with some light role-playing elements. Instead of virtual buttons (because f*ck that noise), the actions you perform will be determined by how you tap or swipe the screen, and to target a specific part of the enemy, simply touch that region of his body.

Another Kickstarter has been launched for Edo Superstar, running through September 5 with a goal of $65K. Rewards include woodblock prints of the main character, Masaru, which I have added to the gallery below. These are once again carved by David Bull, whose current woodblock studio was almost entirely funded by the previous Kickstarter. A portion of the current campaign's earnings will go towards further supporting his studio and in turn the Japanese woodblock community; if you won't donate for the game, do it for the sake of kickass art.

I will be receiving a demo of the game in the near future, so expect some early impressions soon. In the meantime, check a sample from the soundtrack below.

Capy's Below is a timed exclusive for Xbox One

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 09:00 AM PDT

Amidst the hustle and bustle of E3 2013, Capybara Games' Below looked intriguing. The fact that it was announced as an Xbox One exclusive was -- how can I put this politely? -- not the most thrilling thing to hear. Turns out it's actually a timed exclusive, as some of you guessed. The nature of the announcement led to some confusion, but Capy has set the record straight: "Like many games on stage at E3, Below will be available on the Xbox One first. Then, after a period of time, CAPY can bring it elsewhere. It's always been this way.

"We've said it many times before, but it is worth repeating: working with Microsoft Studios has been great, and they deserve real kudos for putting our dreamy roguelike-inspired game of exploration and discovery in the spotlight at E3... and we are certain they'll continue to do more of that going forward. This clarification is about answering our fans, and shouldn't reflect negatively on Microsoft or Xbox One -- they've been the biggest CAPY supporters out there (and also lets face it: Titanfall and Halo are going to be crazy delicious game magic). The Xbox 360 has been a great home for marquee downloadable games, and we believe this is something that will continue, and grow, over the years on Xbox One."

So, there you have it. If for some reason you were trying to avoid hearing about Below because of the platform it was attached to, put the game back on your radar. Capybara describes it as a "love letter or our take on some of the things that we love about rogue-likes, what we love about adventure games, [and] what we love about sword/shield combat." Yes, please!

Link looks goofier than before in A Link Between Worlds

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 08:30 AM PDT

In the lead-up to The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, it appears as if Link is getting a bit of a makeover. When the 3DS title was announced, Nintendo showed off a Link that looked mature, similar to Adult Link in Ocarina of Time. The art Nintendo recently released (shown below) depicts Link in a more cartoonish manner with childlike proportions.

Even though he looks sort of dopey now, the change is probably for the best. It fits better with the game's art direction, and is more in line with A Link to the Past's visuals.

Nintendo Download: DuckTales, Mario & Luigi

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 08:00 AM PDT

The Wii U is getting a bit more interesting soon, as Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party is hitting today, and DuckTales Remastered is set to land on the Wii U eShop on August 13. Also, Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV is hitting the Wii U VC. DuckTales is a major highlight, as the Wii U version has the enhanced feature of displaying the game's map on the GamePad. It'll be launching alongside of the PC and PS3 versions, with an Xbox Live Arcade version to follow in September.

On the 3DS side, Steamworld Dig, Tangram Style, and Smash Bowling 3D are available, as well as the retail download of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for $39.99. In other news, escapeVektor is discounted to $4.99 until August 22.

Those secret Pikmin 3 codes unlock ... videos?

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 07:30 AM PDT

When we reported on Pikmin 3's mysterious code, earned by collecting all ten of the Secret Memos hidden throughout the world, commenter NovaKnight21 made a prediction: "It's a series of numbers that, once you buy the official Nintendo decoder ring, tells you to 'Drink More Ovaltine.'" Funny enough, that's not too far off.

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto shared a link to a site that allows you to enter the code you got for a special video -- there are a handful of different ones -- but it's only viewable using the Wii U's Internet browser. GameXplain has compiled (all?) five of the videos, which explain what went on with Captain Olimar and Louie before you crash landed.

It's not terribly exciting stuff, but, there's speculation that this might lead up to prequel DLC featuring our two favorite treasure hunters and possibly remixed levels of the core game. That's almost certainly wishful thinking, even if there are some questions left unanswered at the end of Pikmin 3 that could tie in nicely. How freakin' great would that be, though?

Review: Dropchord

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 07:00 AM PDT

It's not hard to be mesmerized by Dropchord's art style. It's equal parts psychedelic and vibrant, and with the combination of an arrangement of electronic music, there's a lot of room for potential here -- especially when Double Fine is involved.

But with Dropchord, a focus on style is exactly what you're getting, with a distinct lack of gameplay variety to back it up.

New Pokemon and 'Mega' forms revealed for Pokemon X/Y

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 06:30 AM PDT

The latest Pokemon X and Y reveals will come across as predictable or totally bizarre depending on your relative level of Poke-mania. First up are some new wild Pokemon: Meekuru, the pre-evolution of the goat Pokemon Gogoat; Horubii, a rabbit Pokemon; and Dedenne, a new electric mouse that looks suspiciously like a short, fat Raichu. All adorable, but nothing too out of the ordinary for the series, at this point.

More surprising are the newly announced "Mega" forms of existing Pokemon, which seem to sit somewhere between a traditional Pokemon evolution and a Deoxys/Rotom/Kyurem-style form change. The previously revealed MegaMewtwo is joined by MegaBlaziken, MegaMawile, MegaAbsol, MegaLucario, and MegaAmpharos.

The process these six go through to achieve "Mega Evolution" remains a mystery, but I wouldn't be surprised if it involves hair products. There are some truly outrageous hairstyles going on here. MegaAmpharos in particular looks like a Pokemon version of Fabio. In all seriousness, it sounds like new "Mega Stones" will play a part in these evolutions.

The Pokemon receiving this "new form" treatment feel almost as if they were chosen at random. We've got a Gen 3 starter, an event Pokemon, a legendary, and a few wild Pokemon from past generations. If there's a pattern here, I'm not seeing it. We're sure to find out soon enough, as Pokemon X and Y are set for worldwide release this October.

Guacamelee! Gold trailer details everything that's new

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 06:00 AM PDT

Gaucamelee! is launching today on Steam for $14.99, and DrinkBox Studios has a new video to celebrate. I particularly enjoyed this trailer, as it shows off everything you're getting with the Steam version in a very clear manner, with a bit of charm to boot. If you buy it before August 15th, you'll get a 10% discount, as well as a code for Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.

As for the game itself, quite a few of us here at Destructoid enjoyed the hell out of it (myself included), so if you don't have a PS3 or Vita, now is the time to pick it up. It's one of the best Metroidvania games in years, and it has a solid combat foundation and art style that really seals the deal.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II's final DLC is 'Apocalypse'

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 05:45 AM PDT

It's been a decent run for Call of Duty: Black Ops II's DLC, but all things must come to and end and the end is nigh. It's only fitting that Treyarch's fourth and final pack for the game is called Apocalypse. Releasing first for Xbox 360 on August 27, this DLC has four more multiplayer maps and a Zombies experience that you might have seen teased.

Set in a Dieselpunk World War I-era France, Origins stars the familiar Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen as they fend off the undead nightmare in trenches. And attempt to take down a "1,000-foot-tall robot abomination." Great. You'll use period-appropriate weapons, including some that have a supernatural twist; a diesel drone; Mark IV tank; and a new perk machine.

As for the multiplayer maps, the list includes: Pod, a failed utopian community from the '70s that's on a Taiwanese cliffside; Frost, a frigid European city with a prominent bridge; Takeoff, a remake of the map Stadium from Black Ops; and Dig, a new take on World at War's Courtyard.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix trailer shows off its HD-ness

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 05:00 AM PDT

We're about a month out on the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix (September 10 in North America, September 13 in Europe), and a new trailer has been released to celebrate and promote.

As I'm sure you already know, this package is for PS3, and contains high-def updates of Kingdom Hearts: Final MixKingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, as well as scenes from Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

As you'll see in the trailer, the games look pretty nice in HD. The foregrounds definitely shine more than the backgrounds, but we'll take what we can get.

Here is Namco Bandai's UK release schedule

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 04:30 AM PDT

I learned to type very young. At the school I went to in Tokyo they started you early, so I was typing at full speed at age 6. No joke. Uphill both ways in the snow and all of that. And now you damned kids have snapchats and Instagrams and whatnot.

*sigh*

I used my Japanese typing skills to type up Namco Bandai's release schedule for our friends in the UK. A lot of games that I really want are on here, including Tales of Symphonia Chronicles and Tales of Xillia 2, though they're set for next year. But Tales of Xillia (available tomorrow) should hold you for awhile.

SpyParty's new environments are warm, cool, & Scooby Doo

Though it's quite endearing the current visual style of SpyParty sorta looks like crud. We already know that the game is getting an artistic revamp, but so far we've only seen the new character art. Well, of course the environment is getting a similar overhaul, and I'm here to tell and show you just how it'll look. I'm a big fan of the middle-aged Japanese Luigi

I'm a big fan of this middle-aged Japanese Luigi from a new Nintendo Japan commercial. He's got some years on him, a creeper grin, and an awesome voice.

I think they should go international with this dude. Like, Kevin Butler him up or something. I'd be okay with it being limited to The Year of Luigi if need be.

Never, ever buy a videogame console at launch

Comedy music man brentalfloss and animator Sean DePew last teamed up for the wonderfully sweet "Baby Mario & Papa Yoshi" music video. Their latest collaboration is a kickass parody of Schoolhouse Rock!, which if you never saw it was like the greatest thing ever. No foolin'.

"Game Launch Rock!" warns potential buyers of the pitfalls of launch window consoles. Even as a parody, it's cool, funny, and informative. You can't beat that!

Seriously though, don't buy game consoles at launch. Like, ever. You are only setting yourself up for disappointment.

Luigi takes over the 'L' train in Chicago

Inside you'll find the gangly green guy himself riding. He'll be hanging around kiosks loaded with demos of his new game, New Super Luigi U, at the Clark/Lake station area.

I'm going to see if we can get someone out there to take pictures next week.

WayForward muses on the art of DuckTales Remastered

Also, 'DAT MOON MUSIC!

I really enjoyed my time with DuckTales Remastered, as did our own Tony Ponce, so things are looking good so far. Let's see if the finished product can deliver.

Wonderful 101 had longest dev time for a Platinum game

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 02:00 AM PDT

The whole non-American world will be getting their hands on The Wonderful 101 later this month, while US citizens must sit tightly until September 15. The wait has been especially difficult for myself, considering this has been my most anticipated Wii U title since it was first revealed at E3 2012. Seems like this game has been in production forever.

As it turns out, The Wonderful 101 has had both a larger team and longer dev cycle than any previous PlatinumGames title. Director Hideki Kamiya mentioned as much during a recent interview with Famitsu magazine, graciously interpreted by Polygon. Both he and producer Atsushi Inaba shared nuggets of the development process, such as how the idea of controlling a throng of characters came before the Japanese sentai theme was settled upon, or how the visuals originally looked far closer to Viewtiful Joe than they do currently.

Both men have stated that the game is a lot deeper than we realize. "It's easy enough to just finish the game," Kamiya said, "but if you try to work out better strategies and play a better, more stylish game, then it just gets deeper and deeper. I'd like people to just play the way they want, and hopefully they'll get addicted once they see all the things they're able to do. In that way, the entire first playthrough is something like a tutorial. I think the real game begins the second time through."

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified devs discuss art style

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 01:30 AM PDT

2K Games has released another developer diary for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and it talks about about the general tone of the game, including the visual style, and how other forms of media influenced it. Specific influences talked about in the video include The X-Files, Mad Men, and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

It's definitely an interesting take on the XCOM universe, and I'm wondering if it's going to pay off in the long run. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for Jim's full review, to see if the "darker, grittier tone" works out for them.

New Xbox One details revealed with unboxing

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 01:00 AM PDT

Microsoft has just released some interesting facts and new details for their upcoming console, the Xbox One. A Day One edition of the console has been unboxed and explored -- one of less than 20 that exist on our planet. Along with this unboxing comes plenty of new details on the system, and we have the highlights for you here.

As for system specs, we've heard a lot of them leading up to now. You'll get a 500GB hard disk, a slot-loading Blu-ray drive, HDMI in/out ports, S/PDIF, a new Kinect sensor port, three USB 3.0 ports, and both Wired and Wireless (A/B/G/N dual-band 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies) networking. And don't forget the IR blaster. This all comes in a Liquid Black finished system that uses a 16:9 design ratio across all components -- even the Kinect.

Speaking of Kinect, this new one has a 1080p HD camera with a wider field of view. New sensors improve low-light sensitivity, and four microphones do all the listening.

New Monster Hunter 4 trailer shows off lots of gameplay

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 12:30 AM PDT

A new Monster Hunter 4 trailer is out and about, and it's features a ton of combat with some rather nasty big-bad foes. There's lots of dragons afoot as well as dinosaurs, and even a cat riding a rocket at the end.

Despite the graphical limitations of the 3DS, the game is looking quite fluid, and the art is as beautiful as ever. This is easily on my most anticipated watch-list -- especially considering the fact that a truly new Monster Hunter game is a rarity, amongst all the remakes and ports.

Electronic Super Joy enters Steam Early Access

Posted: 08 Aug 2013 12:00 AM PDT

Electronic Super Joy is an awesome platformer set to some killer electronic music. It's both addictive as hell, and pretty damn challenging too. Developer Michael Todd thinks of the game as "an unholy merging of Super Meat Boy & Super Hexagon." Sounds about right.

The game is now available via the Steam Early Access program, and it can be grabbed for $5. You save $3 here, as the launch price will be $8 once it releases for the PC, Mac, and Linux.

You can expect this one to come out for iPad and Android down the line too.

Posted: 07 Aug 2013 11:00 PM PDT

While there was a ton of news about Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 a few weeks back at San Diego Comic Con, we did have a few more tidbits to share from a joint session with the voice of Gabriel Belmont/Dracula, Robert Carlyle, and producer Dave Cox.

According to Cox, in the early planning stages, "[Gabriel Belmont] was much more of a big, muscly, barbaric, almost Conan-style character, and when Robert came on board, we realized we needed to make him more of an every-man, a more realistic character," to which Carlyle agreed, "This team was really open to interpretation and gave me a lot of leeway to give this performance some gravitas and emotional weight that it needed."

Also of interest was where the character of Dracula stands today in the development process: "... In fact, we’re still tweaking the character on a daily basis to establish the character as fitting Robert’s performance."

Would a muscly, barbaric Gabriel Belmont have worked for you? Has Robert Carlyle's voice done much for you in Lords of Shadow and what you've seen and heard from Lords of Shadow 2?

Check out a few photos from the session below.

Fan-made Chrono Trigger Symphony coming later this month

Posted: 07 Aug 2013 09:00 PM PDT

Blake Robinson is a beast. Earlier this year, he produced a symphonic arrangement of the Super Metroid soundtrack. A couple months later, he did the same for Banjo-Kazooie. Now Chrono Trigger is up on the block. Does the man ever sleep!?

On August 22, Blake will release Chrono Trigger Symphony: Volume 1, a 23-track project that covers a solid chunk of the Super Nintendo RPG's music, all done in orchestral style. In addition to the trailer above, there are currently samples of "Frog's Theme," "Wind Scene," and "The Trial" on the album page. Chrono Trigger is a much beefier game than what Blake has covered before, so you can expect many more volumes in the future.

The album will be available on iTunes and Loudr just as always. Remember -- God, how many times have I repeated this? -- his music is licensed through Joypad Records so that he can legally make green off of it. So please, please, PLEASE stop sweating those details.

Bungie's designing Destiny to deal with trollish behavior

Posted: 07 Aug 2013 07:00 PM PDT

With Halo, Bungie introduced a lot of what defines console shooters. Two weapon slots, stable online play, as well as whole host of other less than desirable online behavior. Speaking with Edge, Bungie's Chris Butcher admits that, "If you look back at online multiplayer gaming for the last ten years I think the dominant thread has been adolescent males shooting each other in the face and squatting on each others corpses."

With Destiny, Bungie is making an effort to encourage more cooperative and sporting behavior. For starters, every user will have a series of emotes mapped to their D-pad, allowing you to salute, dance, wave, among others. Of course doing a little dance instead of tea-bagging won't be enough to curb the trolls, which is why the highly touted public events will have safeguards set in place to deal with griefers. The details on these remain nebulous, so fingers crossed this is more than a revamped reporting system.

Ultimately, it's hard to expect any measures to be totally impervious, but it is nice to see these types of issues actually addressed in a game's design. As Butcher puts it, "I don’t think you can ever design toxic behavior out, you can’t ever stop players from being toxic but what you can do is prevent them being able to ruin other players’ experiences."
