Original announcer will be in new Killer Instinct Posted: 22 Aug 2013 03:30 PM PDT During a TwitchTV live stream of upcoming Xbox One fighter Killer Instinct, Microsoft creative director Adam Isgreen and producer Torin Rettig revealed a few more details about the game that will be sure to make fans of the first two games in the series quite pleased. For starters, the original announcer Chris Sutherland will be selectable, in lieu of Killer Instinct's new announcer, for those wanting a slightly more authentic experience. In addition to his original lines, all of the game's new lines have been recorded by Sutherland and according to Isgreen: "for 18 years different, sounds exactly the same." Additionally, classic costumes will be available for those not keen on the revised looks for some of their favorites. How these will be delivered was not revealed, but most likely will come as DLC, and hopefully part of the game's $40 "Ultra edition" that was announced during gamescom. Lastly, Isgreen hinted that fans of the music from Killer Instinct and its sequel would not be let down. "For most of you who really love KI 1 and 2, the music of KI 1 and 2, we've got you covered." Say what you will about Double Helix's track record, but I can't be more excited for the way the new Killer Instinct is shaping up. What's most impressive, so far, is just how receptive and well they've listed to fan feedback. These latest reveals come directly from the results of a survey they conducted back at the end of June and to me show the care and concern that is needed to make a great game. Stay tuned for more Killer Instinct when it breaks. At the end of the stream, Isgreen and Rettig teased the next character announcement would be coming soon and it would be a character that's playstyle is completely new to the Killer Instinct universe. Ryse will have multiplayer microtransactions Posted: 22 Aug 2013 03:00 PM PDT Ryse: Son of Rome will have microtransactions in the multiplayer mode, Videogamer has learned. A Microsoft producer compared the way this will work to that of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer. "When we talk about the progression system for multiplayer, it's armour-based," the producer stated. "The way that you get armour is very similar to how you get it in like Mass Effect or FIFA. You only earn gold while playing multiplayer [and] you use that gold to buy booster packs. Those booster packs contain random sets of loot. Based on the different tiers of loot that you get -- whether you buy Bronze, Silver or Gold Packs -- guarantees whether you get rare or common items. Additionally, you can buy stuff using the in-game currency in conjunction with real cash. So if something were to cost 15,000 gold and you only have 10,000 gold, you can make up the difference with real money. Everything I have seen and played of Ryse just keeps making me question how anyone would be interested in this at all. Ryse has microtransactions [Videogamer]

Destructoid Golden Classics: The Mega Man Maker Posted: 22 Aug 2013 02:40 PM PDT By popular request, I've dug through old hard drives and present to you Destructoid's classic Mega Man maker! This little app was originally published during PAX 2008 during a panel we gave about how important it is to create original content when starting your own gaming site. In the early days when Destructoid was a tiny Wordpress blog in the middle of nowhere. I would lose a lot of sleep trying to make oddities like this in hopes that someone would pause for a moment from viewing kitten photos and care about my little site. Sometimes it worked. Unfortunately, this version is an internal build four versions before the finished product. It is going to be buggy as hell and the epic credits are missing, but the basic functions kinda work. Next week we're back at PAX to talk about how much things have changed since our early days and also present something new, so until then please enjoy this little gem from our past. The janky coding was done by me (some features may not work, this was designed for a different version of our site), the music was made by Dale, and all of the sprite art by the multi-talented Jonathan Holmes. I'm lucky to be surrounded by such awesome people. Go play! Read more... |
ScrewAttack's Craig and I sing DuckTales... Posted: 22 Aug 2013 02:30 PM PDT There was a special booth at E3 where you could sing the DuckTales theme. Capcom edited the footage into an entertaining montage proving that E3 attendees are all children in adult bodies. ScrewAttack's Stuttering Craig and I teamed up to rock the sh*t out of that song. We're hanging around the 15-second mark -- you can't miss that freakish mountain of a man. Also, surprise Smooth McGroove sighting at 0:43. Sing Along with DuckTales! [YouTube] Read more... |
Yatagarasu gets a new name, coming to the PS Vita Posted: 22 Aug 2013 02:00 PM PDT Nicalis' high-speed 2D fighter, Yatagarasu, is heading to the PlayStation Vita under a new name. Legend of Raven, as it's called now, was originally announced for the 3DS, but has moved development over to the Vita "due to the incredibly overwhelming response from the fighting gaming community," Nicalis CEO Tyrone Rodriguez stated in a press release. Developed by ex-King of Fighters developers, Legend of Raven will have new features on the Vita such as parallaxing backgrounds, ad-hoc versus play, a new original soundtrack, and more to be announced. We can expect this one sometime late 2013. Until then check out the gallery. The characters were all hand-animated by King of Fighters artist Kotani Tomoyuki! Read more... |
Everybody's happy about gamescom (well, almost) Posted: 22 Aug 2013 01:30 PM PDT Time for another delightful conversation from our virtual office. This time, Jim Sterling joins Jordan and myself to celebrate the positive news from both Microsoft and Sony at this year's gamescom event. Why, it's only a little bit tinged with doubt and anxiety! That's worth celebrating. Plus, I play Devil's Advocate against a one-console future and we celebrate the man, the legend, Mark Cerny.

Gotta get back in time! Chrono Trigger Symphony is out Posted: 22 Aug 2013 01:00 PM PDT I hope you enjoyed our little snippet of Blake Robinson's Chrono Trigger Symphony, because now it's time for the real thing! The first volume of the three-part fan symphony is live on Loudr and iTunes for $7.99, less than what the Super Metroid and Banjo-Kazooie albums ran for. Bonus! Today also happens to be the 18th anniversary of Chrono Trigger's US release, a great day to revisit the SNES original or one of the several ports and updates. Which is your favorite? Are you one of the unfortunate few who has never played any version? Don't worry, we won't shame you. Well, maybe we will. Just a little. Okay, maybe a lot.

Let's take a look at the non-swappable new Skylanders Posted: 22 Aug 2013 12:30 PM PDT Okay first of all the creature in the header here looks like something from a nightmare. Just, so creepy. Well whatever it is, it's one of four new Skylanders playable in SWAP Force. Two of them are also just normal Skylanders in that you can't split their bodies in half and create new creatures like a mad scientist. Boom Jet is the one above, and is an air type that flies around on a rocket. The gorilla is called Grilla Drilla, and is able to transform his legs into a giant drill. As for the non-swappable Skylanders, there's Slobber Tooth, a dumb looking dinosaur-like creature. Last of the new reveals is Zoo Lou, who reminds me of Po from Kung Fu Panda. Read more... |
Sonic Lost World special edition features NiGHTS bosses Posted: 22 Aug 2013 12:00 PM PDT A new trailer for Sonic Lost World has surfaced, running through a list of features previously not seen. Sonic skates on icy surfaces, and Sonic 3 elemental shields like bubble and lightning can be shared via Miiverse, as can a new Bomb Wisp. We also get a glimpse of multiplayer, which includes a co-op mode. Sadly, player two doesn't command Tails as you'd expect but rather a remote-controlled flying vehicle. Lame. Are you ready for the AWESOME news now? Customers who pre-order the game will be able to pick up a special "Deadly Six Bonus Edition." Included in the box for free is a code to download the NiGHTMARE DLC, a special bonus level that will allow you to fight bosses from the Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams. This offer is available in both the US and Europe and only for the Wii U version. That's... actually a legit surprise! Sonic's Worst NiGHTMARE! Yep, it's pretty: New CryEngine demonstrated Posted: 22 Aug 2013 11:30 AM PDT Here's a tech demonstration out of gamescom for the latest iteration of CryEngine, which supports current-gen, PS4, Wii U, PC, and Xbox One, with further platforms to come. Calling it simply "CryEngine" is not an oversight on my part -- Crytek has decided to drop the numbers. "Since CryEngine 3 was launched in 2009, we've dramatically changed the engine so many times, with so many major new features, it's not the same engine anymore," explains biz dev director Carl Jones. The team at Crytek has "overhauled our entire lighting system, built movie-quality character rendering and animation solutions, vastly improved the speed and effectiveness of our Sandbox editor, and even our rendering has changed with tessellation, pixel-accurate displacement mapping, and now physical-based rendering." Even if I have no interest whatsoever in Ryse: Son of Rome, good gosh does the game look visually appealing. Crytek's free, non-commercial CryEngine SDK has also recently been updated -- expect new features and the removal of restrictions that stopped users from working offline.

You can remove the outlines in Smash Bros. 3DS Posted: 22 Aug 2013 11:00 AM PDT Two major things distinguish the 3DS and Wii U versions of Smash 4: the levels, of which there will be a different set for each platform, and the bold outlines on the 3DS character models. The logic behind the latter design choice is to make characters a lot easier to distinguish on a portable screen. But I can't be the only one who thinks they look more than a little tacky. Smash director Masahiro Sakurai clearly understands this concern, because in his latest post on the Smash Bros. Miiverse community he announced that you can adjust the thickness of outlines and even eliminate them completely. This piece of news accompanied a screen grab that finally shows off the Wii Fit Trainer and Villager on the 3DS. Smash games have always been highly customizable, and I'm glad this one's no different. Sakurai's post [Miiverse via GoNintendo] Read more... |
Chivalry teams up with Deadliest Warrior for expansion Posted: 22 Aug 2013 10:30 AM PDT Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is getting an expansion that takes the first-person slasher to strange new places. This is a tie-in with Spike's Deadliest Warrior television series, of all things, but the core gameplay premise appears mostly untouched. As covered in the trailer, period-appropriate maps and multi-team battles are planned as part of the content rollout. While only samurai and Spartans have been confirmed so far, there's room for four more types of warriors on the Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior site. I'm now looking over a list of episodes for possible clues and, my goodness, I forgot how f*cking ludicrous this show is. It's fitting that they literally did the "This is Sparta" kick in the trailer.

Aksys throwing a sale on 3DS and Vita digital shops Posted: 22 Aug 2013 10:00 AM PDT Atlus isn't the only company ringing in the start of a new school year. Aksys Games is also so pleased that all the little brats are sweating in a classroom where they belong that it decided to place a number of games on the 3DS eShop and PS Vita PSN store up on sale. On Vita, Muramasa Rebirth is available for $27.99 now through September 3, $20.99 for PS Plus members. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND turns the wheel of fate down to $19.99 from September 3 through 10, $14.99 with PS Plus. And Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward drops to $24.99 also from September 3 to 10, sadly with no additional PS Plus discount. On 3DS, Virtue's Last Reward has finally arrived on eShop and will be available for $24.99 now until September 3. But the biggest deal of all has been reserved for BIT.TRIP SAGA, which from September 1 to 15 will be a whopping $4.99! Impulse purchase ahoy!

Populous and Red Alert 3 join Humble Origin Bundle Posted: 22 Aug 2013 09:30 AM PDT The Humble Origin Bundle is a curious thing. On the one hand, it's Electronic Arts, a company that's easy to dislike these days, and in the case of some -- but not all! -- of the featured games, there's the dreaded Origin requirement. On the other, proceeds are going to charities like the Human Rights Campaign and the American Red Cross. Hmm. There's no real arguing with the sheer savings to be had, either. Two new games, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising and the classic Populous have been added to the roster as pay-more-than-the-average bonus titles. Enough people have scraped by that said average is under five bucks. That's $5 for ten games, including Dead Space 3, Battlefield 3, and Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box -- yeah, I'm going to cave. [Thanks, BoomingEchoes]

Telltale 'still exploring' how The Wolf Among Us will end Posted: 22 Aug 2013 09:00 AM PDT As a big Fables fan, I'm pretty happy, if not relieved, that The Wolf Among Us looked great based on my hands-on time with the game. Adaptations of other mediums into games tend to be as bad as adaptations of games into movies, yet Telltale pulled it off again after its successful run with The Walking Dead. I spoke with lead writer of The Wolf Among Us, Pierre Shorette, and he shared with us how they're going about appealing to a wide audience with their story. There's also the fact that they haven't actually finished writing out season one of the Fables tale yet. Read more... |
The new Shadow Warrior is out on September 26 Posted: 22 Aug 2013 08:30 AM PDT Flying Wild Hog's Shadow Warrior is headed to GOG.com, Steam, and the Humble Store on September 26, 2013. Now that the release date is out of the way, let me just say that, basically, everything you need to know about the game is right here in convenient trailer form. If you're one to like this chaotic style of first-person shooter, I'll add that the game is roughly as fun to play as it looks. The swordplay, in particular, is well done. Still no word on how much this will cost, but it ought to be budget-friendly. My only real concern at this point is whether or not Shadow Warrior can remain enjoyable throughout. Here's hoping it doesn't drag. Read more... |
Battlefield 4's 'Levolution' is such a horrible buzzword Posted: 22 Aug 2013 08:00 AM PDT § Levolution. It sounds like someone with a lisp trying to say revolution. Well anyway, that's the marketing buzzword Electronic Arts is pushing like crazy, and while the name is stupid the tech behind it looks cool. The newest behind-the-scenes video for Battlefield 4 details how the levels are much more part of a player's experience. Some things you can do including creating new paths by destroying objects, raise road blocks, activate shutter gates, avoid metal detectors, and so on. I particularly like how you can destroy the lights in a room and then take on enemies through your night vision scope. Stick around till the end of the trailer as the maps from the China Rising expansion pack gets shown off.

Destiny looks so goddamn gorgeous Posted: 22 Aug 2013 07:00 AM PDT I still have a hard time believing Destiny is actually possible given the scope of the entire project. You're going to have multiple worlds to explore, so many guns to play with, tons of enemies to kill, and it all looks gorgeous in action. I'm loving the way they're doing multiplayer too. I typically like to be a loner in games like this, but I'm looking forward to the multiplayer here thanks to how seamlessly others can join in. Read more... |
Rainbow 6: Patriots is still in production, says Ubisoft Posted: 22 Aug 2013 07:00 AM PDT Reminding me that the game even existed in the first place, IGN has gotten word from Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre that Rainbow 6: Patriots is "still cooking. It's an important franchise for Ubisoft. We want to make sure, on this one, like all the other games we're working on, that we bring it when we feel it's perfect." Patriots, to refresh your memory, was first pitched as a game that would "capture the reality of modern-day terrorism." It's not entirely unclear if the original premise, which centered on a revolutionary group that intended to reclaim America from corruption and corporate special interests, is still in tact. "We can't say yet," said Corre. "We're iterating. "What we want is to have a compelling story. We want people who play the next Rainbow 6 to be astonished, to be very pleased with what they see. You've seen that the improvement in games over the last few years has been exponential. We have to reflect that improvement in quality. That's what we're doing on all our games." This was the first Rainbow 6 in some time to grab my attention -- even if it eventually waned -- so I'd like to see that original vision come to fruition. Sounded real interesting. inFamous: Second Son releasing in February 2014 Posted: 22 Aug 2013 06:30 AM PDT There will be a wait for inFamous: Second Son, as expected. At least it's a relatively short one -- Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed a February launch window with Polygon. I know this was among the PlayStation 4's most appealing early releases -- and I say that as someone who never really connected with prior games in the series -- but there should be enough hitting between the system launch in November and early 2014 to keep us all busy. There's also the whole "running out of money" thing that can crop up. Never much cared for that. Infamous: Second Son launching in February 2014 [Polygon]

Stick to the shadows in this Assassin's Creed IV trailer Posted: 22 Aug 2013 06:00 AM PDT Edward Kenway is a pirate, but that doesn't mean that he needs to turn everything into an ostentatious affair. No, sometimes it's more efficient to move like a cat stalking its prey, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. That's exactly what he does in this trailer -- he uses the environments to his advantage to methodically dispose of his targets. He may be decked out in pirate garb, but that assassin blood runs deep through his veins. Read more... |
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a PS4 exclusive Posted: 22 Aug 2013 05:30 AM PDT What a nice surprise it was to see Everybody's Gone to the Rapture on stage at Sony's gamescom presser. A sign of exclusivity, perhaps? Yep. Rock, Paper, Shotgun followed up with creative director Dan Pinchbeck who confirmed that the title is only coming to PlayStation 4 -- and for about as good of reasons as one could hope for. "We don't have enough money or production expertise to make this game without help," he said. "We don't think we can raise enough through Kickstarter or public alpha to make this happen. We could do with production support on a game this scale. We've always wanted to make a console game. Publishers have bad reputations all too often. Hey, Sony Santa Monica are great though. We've met them a few times and really like them and their attitude." Pinchbeck went on to say that "Dear Esther fans were very much in our thoughts, but enough of us are multi-platform gamers to make this work for us. And we're in this for the long game, so I can't see us not returning to PC, or doing whatever we can to keep that fan base as we owe them a great deal. But part of that is following our instincts about how we develop and find stability as a studio and this is going to be part of the process. And without sounding like a bought man, the PS4 is genuinely a really, really cool platform, and if people have never bought into console gaming before, this is the time." If this week was the first time you heard about Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, know that it revolves around multiple characters in an open world, with the hook being that you only get to play as them for a set amount of time -- the world's ending, after all. Resogun is a blast, lets you throw humans Posted: 22 Aug 2013 05:12 AM PDT Housemarque's latest, announced at this week's PlayStation press conference at gamescom, is PS4 title Resogun. Any fan of Super Stardust HD or Super Stardust Delta would be glad to hear that this game is a spiritual successor, though it adds some new ideas and some next-gen shine to the formula. It's a shooter at heart, reminding of Defender, though it's not as space-y as you're fending off alien invaders in an attempt to save the last humans. Resogun plays cylindrically, with free back-and-forth movement. It's fast, but it's not so fast that you're overwhelmed. The left analog stick controls movement while the right one fires either forward or back. And aside from a few buttons for special attacks, that's all you really need to know to jump in and have fun. So here's what Dead Island: Epidemic looks like Posted: 22 Aug 2013 05:00 AM PDT In Dead Island: Epidemic -- which is inexplicably a MOBA, if you missed the news -- three teams of four players each have to fend off zombies while also worrying about one another. And instead of base destruction being the win condition, it's all about capturing control points and completing other "dynamic gameplay objectives" like killing specific targets, some of which are said to require cooperation between the teams. Since this is Dead Island, there's an extensive crafting system in here as well. That aspect sounds like a decent-enough fit. I'm glad that this isn't a cookie-cutter MOBA but, at the same time, there's an established formula for a reason. Epidemic sounds weird and not in an especially good way. Read more... |

Murasaki Baby is strange and wonderful Posted: 22 Aug 2013 04:09 AM PDT PlayStation Vita title Murasaki Baby looked to be pretty dark and twisted in its debut trailer at Sony's gamescom press conference earlier this week. Now that I've played it, I'd say that it isn't quite as dark as it first came off to be. There's actually a cute side to it. Kind of. The cuteness starts with the premise: the player uses the Vita's touchscreen to hold the hand of a baby carrying a balloon. You're to guide her on her journey to bring this balloon to her mother, as she is lost. This baby is kind of cute in an upside down head with huge eyes kind of way. Scary cute, if you will. Nintendo Download: it's a Street Fighter II bonanza Posted: 22 Aug 2013 03:30 AM PDT It's kind of a weird day for the Wii U, as it's getting a decent amount of old games in the form of Street Fighter -- Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, and Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers are all available on the Virtual Console for $7.99. If you buy one, you can get the others for 50% off until August 29th. For the uninitiated, World Warrior is the original SNES release -- Hyper Fighting is the follow-up that jacked up the speed and some character movesets -- and The New Challengers added four new characters (T. Hawk, Cammy, Fei Long, and Dee Jay) plus some reworks There's a ton of opinions as to what the best version of Street Fighter II is, so do some research if you're only going to get one. I'm partial to The New Challengers if you're choosing solely from the aforementioned three, but I like Super Street Fighter II Turbo (the first game with Akuma) a lot more. As for the 3DS, the eShop is getting Wakedas, Funfair Party Games, Fish On 3D, and Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (VC). Retail download wise, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward and Phineas and Ferb: Quest for Cool Stuff are available. Ubisoft is also having a 30% off sale until August 27th for Rayman Origins, Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars 3D, Rayman 3D, Petz Fantasy 3D, Splinter Cell 3D, and Rabbids 3D. As you can tell, a lot of these were created at the portable's launch when putting "3D" into everything was super cool. Read more... |

EVE Valkyrie was the best thing I saw at gamescom Posted: 22 Aug 2013 02:31 AM PDT I saw a prototype of what was to be EVE Valkyrie at E3 this year. Along with Respawn's Titanfall, it was the talk of the show. CCP knew they had something special, so they created a full game from this demo. Here at gamescom, CCP are showing a build so new that they just wrapped it up five days ago. Work started on what was to be Valkyrie in Reykjavik, but now they've moved to Newcastle, where a studio of 20 are working on it full time. While exciting, what I saw at E3 was still rough around the edges, and running on standard definition Oculus Rift headsets. They've been working on it ever since, talking the experience and turning it up as far as they could. It's now running on Rift HD prototype sets, packed full of improvements. Read more... |
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare confirmed for PC Posted: 22 Aug 2013 02:00 AM PDT Well this a relief. After the curious PC-less launch of Plants vs. Zombies 2, many fans of the series were similarly disappointed that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was only announced for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. But now, we have confirmation from Popcap that the PC version will arrive "shortly after" the launch of its console counterpart, and that more platforms could be in the cards in the future. I'm glad the phrase "shortly" was used to describe the PC launch here, as it precludes a messy six month to a year exclusivity deal from leaving PC fans in the dust. As for the other platforms -- that's anyone's guess, but like many have speculated so far I would say the PS3 and/or PS4 is the top choice, given EA's recent poor treatment of the Wii U. Gran Turismo 6 online play improved from fan feedback Posted: 22 Aug 2013 01:30 AM PDT Did you know that Gran Turismo 5 has the most online players of any PS3 game? In a gamescom meeting with Polyphony Digital's Kasunori Yamauchi, we learned that even three years after release, GT5 has 1.25 million users that still play online today. With that many players Polyphony Digital has received a lot of feedback, as you could imagine. They watched closely, learning from fans, working to making a list of what needed to be improved for online play for Gran Turismo 6.

Challenge Scot: Team Fortress 2 - The Worst Spy Posted: 22 Aug 2013 01:00 AM PDT Hey everyone, I'd like to present to you the first episode of Challenge Scot, a show in which I attempt to complete various challenges in different games, and (hopefully) hilarity will ensue. Think of it as a really focused "Let's Play," but with hopefully all the downtime cut out. I'm starting to come around on Dead Rising 3 Posted: 21 Aug 2013 10:00 PM PDT [Update: Footage has returned as part of a giant montage of Xbox games.] No, really. I'm starting to like Dead Rising 3 with more footage we see. I was kind of turned off with the game at E3, largely because of the framerate issues. Which you can kind of see having trouble in this trailer even, oddly. But it looks like it's going to have some fun stuff. I mean, look at this new gameplay video. You can wear a bull costume that shoots out flames from the mouth and then power bomb zombies while they're on fire, there's a freaking happy shark costume, you can do goddamn shoryukens with some kind of jetpack knife gloves, strap guns to your wrist, drive a monster truck ambulance, and create a motorcycle steamroller that shoots out flames. Holy sh*t I really want Dead Rising 3 now.

Generous gifts of the goddess - The Daily Spelunk Posted: 21 Aug 2013 08:00 PM PDT Today's Daily Challenge in Spelunky was interesting for a few reasons. First, there's a bit of a shortage of available equipment in the mines. Then there's the location of the key, which seems to be more trouble than it's worth. But the damsels are accessible and, more interesting, so are shrines to Kali. Will the powers of a goddess be enough to prevent us from making some really bone-headed decisions? Not likely.

Vision Gran Turismo: from people who love cars Posted: 21 Aug 2013 07:19 PM PDT Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi explained in a behind-closed-doors meeting at gamescom that the first Gran Turismo game had the tag line "For all people who love cars." They've played with that line a bit for their upcoming project, Vision Gran Turismo. Now the tag line is "From people who love cars, for people who love cars." The worlds of real racing and virtual racing cross over in Vision Gran Turismo, a project kicked off to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the franchise. The idea was to approach designers from the automotive world and beyond to design new cars to be put into a game. Yamauchi said that he asked around early on, and that more than they initially expected provided concept models for Vision Gran Turismo. Read more... |
I love the fashion in Lightning Returns: FF XIII Posted: 21 Aug 2013 06:00 PM PDT So I really like fashion. It's not to the extent that I can tell what label you're wearing. In fact I don't care about that aspect of fashion. I just care about what looks good. And Lightning looks so good in all of her outfits in Lightning Returns. I've always loved the fashion from Final Fantasy games, which is funny since I've never really beaten a single one of them. I wasn't much of a fan of role-playing games growing up. Although it's funny because Super Mario RPG is my number one favorite game of all time. Yeah, go figure. I'm long overdue fixing this horrible error, and will get around to playing some of the Super Nintendo era ones soon at least. I do want to play Final Fantasy XV though, which also has great fashion. I can't stop thinking about that game after the amazing E3 trailer. Read more... |

Rain out this October for PlayStation 3 Posted: 21 Aug 2013 04:30 PM PDT Rain will be coming to your PlayStation 3 on October 1 for North America, October 2 for Europe, and October 3 for Japan. It'll cost $14.99/€12.99, and if you pre-order the game you'll be given three bonus items: a music montage, five avatars, and a dynamic theme. There's a new developer diary for Rain out, and this one primarily focuses on the lovely music the game will feature. The music is very peaceful, and a little on the sad side too.
