Champions Online FATAL ERRoR Story Arc Released Posted: 18 Jul 2013 11:16 AM PDT Perfect World Entertainment has announced that the first act of the FATAL ERR0R for Champions Online story arc launched today, 7/18/13. Heroes will learn about the threat to SOCRATES, and with the help of super-intelligent gorilla Dr. Silverback (voice acted here for the first time), they'll digitize themselves into her mainframe. They'll need all their skills to defeat the viruses in virtual reality! This mission is just the start of the FATAL ERR0R story arc. In the coming weeks Champions Online will release another instance, tracking the hacker to the depths of a supervillain's hideout, plus a climactic Alert in virtual reality for five-man teams. Both of these will come with a new item release that supports the VR theme.  There's a list of rewards for the instance. It'll include two new costume pieces – the head piece of a monster and of a neutral NPC in the instance – and a new Action Figure of a virus.

Granado Espada War of Independence Posted: 18 Jul 2013 09:34 AM PDT July delves into the history of Granado Espada with its second Bristia Update: The Scar. Tensions rise in Bristia as the war for independence takes a sudden turn with the disappearance of Governor Caisse Kielce, and with him, the secret of the Bristia Liberation Army and the events of the pivotal Three Year War. It’s a race against time to find his whereabouts, and the conflict between the Royal Guards and the Bloody Navy escalates. Recruiting Olivia The traitor and spy Olivia is now available for recruitment in this update of Granado Espada. A melee specialist skilled in using daggers and fists, Olivia proves that she is more than just a capable adjutant, but also a capable fighter.     New Field Map: Bristia, Scar Once a thriving settlement called Coster Town, the Scar is a new field added to Bristia. The wasteland and casualty of the Three Year War, the city has fallen into decay and its citizens turned into malicious ghosts and undead. New Weapons and Raid The Elite Bristia Weapons will be introduced in this patch. Packing more firepower than ever before, the Bristia characters will be empowered by the Elite Bristia Weapons – that is, once the recipes are acquired after braving the deadly Breeze Raid. The Elite Bristia Weapons which were designed for the Bristia series characters like Marchetti and Cano, give them additional strength and tricks on the field.     Changed Stats To spice things up, this patch comes with changed status parameters. CHA, a stat that once affected summons alone, will be revised as SEN. Other than the boosts given by CHA, SEN has the added benefit of giving most characters a much-needed casting speed increase, decreasing the period of vulnerability in critical Boss Raids and PVP. Character Buffs Those familiar with the three-character party system of Granado Espada more likely than not take advantage of the Team Buff that is granted whenever certain characters are grouped together. The new patch will change that with the Character Buff system. Similar to people bringing in their own expertise to the field, each character adds a buff to the group individually, adding more customization for all players.

Rise of Mythos V1.2, It’s Time For War Posted: 18 Jul 2013 09:29 AM PDT GameFuse, a leading publisher of free-to-play online games, is pleased to announce that Rise of Mythos Version 1.2, the next addition to the highly addictive and competitive strategy, mmorpg game, is now available on the GameFuse portal. Rise of Mythos V1.2 opens up the next chapter of the game for players to explore with a new faction called “Outsider”. Bound in a time of both war and peace, Judge Tytus is the first character introduced to this faction. His role is to protect and punish those that try to break Celestial Law. Judge Tytus’ powerful judgement deals holy damage based on an enemy unit’s attack score, and prevents undead units from reviving after defeat.     In V1.2, each feature of the game has undergone numerous updates, introducing players to over 130 new cards that can be unlocked through collecting, crafting, or trading. The level cap has also been increased from 50 to 60, providing players with new PvE challenges to explore along with weekly and daily rewards, and new epic boss battles. Forge of Empires Soon Launches Progressive Era Posted: 18 Jul 2013 09:24 AM PDT   InnoGames just announced the ninth era to dawn in its popular online game, Forge of Empires. Following the Industrial Era, the Progressive Era will take players further into the future and allow access to new buildings, units, quests and features. Progressive technologies and achievements, such as tar roads for automobiles, zeppelins and billboards will drastically change the vista of players' towns. A completely new world map and campaign makes for grand scale conflict that involves several formidable foes. The Progressive Era will be coming to the international game version on July 24th, to France and Germany, among others, one week later, on July 30th. Forge of Empires' city-builders have to rethink current layouts entirely: With the rise of the automobile comes the two-way-road, and many new buildings need to be connected to them in order to function. Soon, many cars will roam all of the cities' tar roads. Battle maps will also receive important additions – trenches, snipers and tanks add to the strategic component and make fights even more thrilling and challenging. On top of that, the Progressive Era will contain numerous bug fixes and minor improvements, more than 100 individual quests and of course, two new legendary buildings.

Wargaming Preps for World Cyber Games Posted: 18 Jul 2013 09:20 AM PDT   Wargaming, the award-winning videogame developer and publisher, today announced that World of Tanks will be featured at the World Cyber Games 2013, an international competitive eSports event that gathers the best cyber athletes from all over the world. "Tank squads have improved on their skills since last year, and we expect harsh competition at WCG 2013,” said Global eSports Director at Wargaming Jonghyuk Baak. “Following the launch of the Wargaming.net League, World of Tanks has come a long way in professional gaming, and we'll continue to evolve both the competitive and spectator elements of the game, providing viewers with a quality experience, introducing new eSports features and supporting pro-teams."     Having debuted at the World Cyber Games festival the previous year, World of Tanks continues to gather momentum in competitive gaming. This year the game will be featured at national preliminary events in North America, Europe and CIS, as well as continued presence in Asia. The winning teams from online qualifying rounds will be awarded travel to the national finals where they will compete for the opportunity to represent their countries at the 2013 WCG Grand Finals, taking place November 28th through December 1st in Kunshan, China.
