The Mega Man comic explores incest... wait... buh!?

We take a break from the Sonic / Mega Man joygasm festivities to remind you that on February 13 -- the day before Valentine's Day coincidentally -- Archie Mega Man #22 hits shelves. It's the requisite "love" issue, in which Roll plays matchmaker to get Mega and Quake Woman together, while Ice Man tries his best to express his feelings for Roll.

Yeah, here's the thing...

The MM1 Robot Masters were built by Dr. Light, which means they are as much brothers to Mega as Mega is to Roll. Technically Ice Man and Roll are siblings, which makes the entire premise of this particular chapter more than a little awkward. I know "wincest" is the what the hottest, juiciest fan fiction is driven by, but c'mon! Children read this comic!

Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion and it's all harmless fun. Or maybe Archie writer Ian Flynn is lot naughtier than I gave him credit for.

Dead Space 3 hints at what's in store for series' future

Dead Space 3 hints at what's in store for series' future screenshot

Dead Space 3 has barely been out 24 hours, but that hasn't stopped Visceral Games from getting started on developing their next game. Designer Warren Price took to Twitter earlier today and announced that the studio is already brainstorming for their next project.

That's not an official confirmation of Dead Space 4, mind you. Visceral could very well be working on a followup to their 2010 release, Dante's Inferno, (yes please) or anything else for that matter. But what would a Dead Space sequel entail? Well, the folks at GameFront have done some detective work and discovered a cryptic Easter egg that could point to where the series is headed.

The phrase "brother moons are awake" is hidden in the first character of Dead Space 3's chapter titles. What that means is anyone's best guess at this point, but GameFront conjectures it might have something to do with the source of the markers, which are known as Brethren Moons, or perhaps the location of the next game. Saturn has trio of brother moons: Atlas, Prometheus, and Epimetheus. Dead Space 2 took place, in part, on Titan, another one of Saturn's satellites, so a return to the sixth planet in the solar system wouldn't be out of the question.

If you are a Dead Space fanatic and have any insight as to where the series is going, feel free to share your theories below.

Michael Keaton is joining the Need For Speed movie. Yes, did you forget? There's a Need for Speed movie happening. What's up with all the game movie news today?

The movie will also be starring Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper, and will see Paul's character joining a race from New York to Los Angeles to get revenge on someone that back stabbed him. Yeah! Join a race! That will show him!

And as Flixist pointed out, it's worth noting that this movie will be opening on February 7, 2014, the same day as the RoboCop reboot that's also starring Michael Keaton.

New Sniper Elite V2 content takes you to St. Pierre

A counter-attack is coming to Sniper Elite V2 in the form of the St. Pierre downloadable content, publisher Bastion today announced.

The add-on sees you thwarting an attack on the western front led by General Rodebrecht, a rising star in German high command who's said to be hiding somewhere in the countryside surrounding St. Pierre village. Two new British firearms are included in the content -- the M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle and the Lee Enfield No. 3 high-velocity rifle.

The St. Pierre DLC is available for download today on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for 400 Microsoft Points/$4.99. A Wii U release of Sniper Elite V2, complete with motion controls, was announced yesterday.

After Burner Climax is jetting onto iOS

After Burner is one of those games that tickles the nostalgia bone and doesn't stop. I remember burning away hours locked in aerial combat with After Burner II on my Famicom, although I never did manage to reach the end. And when I played After Burner Climax at the arcades for the first time a couple of years back, I immediately regressed to childhood -- it was just as I remembered, only more extreeeeeeme!

The 2006 arcade game was ported in 2010 to XBLA and PSN, and now iPhone and iPad users will get their own port pretty soon. In fact, New Zealanders will be able to take off as soon as tomorrow for NZ$4.19 (~US$3.51), so an American release is probably not far off.

From the video and screens, it's obvious that quite a bit of visual sheen was lost in the transfer, but the game moves so quickly that you'll be too focused being a world-class fighter ace. I don't honestly believe this Climax port is going to set the world on fire, but anything that rekindles that rose-tinted fire is totally solid in my book.

In this casual discussion from Dtoid's news room, I'm joined by Jordan Devore and Allistair Pinsof and we respond to big announcements for The Witcher 3 and OUYA's retail availability. Plus, we share some views on Capcom's recent change-of-heart toward Resident Evil's direction.

Neverwinter MMO beta weekend begins Friday

This weekend, beginning February 8, the free-to-play Neverwinter MMO will be opening its doors to select beta testers and will run until the February 10. You can sign up for a chance to get in on the official website, or you can buy a Founder's Pack and be guaranteed access. Founder's Packs begin at $19.99, and go all the way up to $199.99, with various benefits.

The beta weekend will include three playable classes, the Rogue, Cleric, and Fighter -- staples of the fantasy universe. Content up to level 30 can be accessed, including companions and mounts, which sounds like plenty for a weekend. I'm pretty excited for Neverwinter, so long as it resembles the older Neverwinter titles I've come to know and love.

Double Fine to support OUYA with The Cave, DF Adventure

The importance of quality software for the upcoming OUYA has been harped on for months, but at least in the short term, it sure does look like this console will be successful. Following the news that OUYA will be sold at retailers like Amazon and Target, founder Julie Uhrman announced at the 2013 D.I.C.E. Summit that Double Fine plans to support the platform.

Specifically, this means we'll be seeing the Kickstarted Double Fine Adventure (otherwise known as Reds) in addition to the recently released The Cave for OUYA. Development on the latter has not yet commenced, according to Polygon. These higher-profile titles aren't what I would purchase an OUYA for, though it does inspire confidence to see them available on the system.

Uhrman also stated during her talk that Words With Friends creator Paul Bettner and his team will be working on games for the console as well. That's nice too, I guess.
