Corgis are one of the cutest animals in the world. Fact. So what's cuter than a corgi? Corgis dressed up in outfits! More specifically, corgis dressed up as your favorite videogame hero. And that's just what we've made happen with the latest t-shirt to hit the Destructoid store.

Corgi Video Game Heroes was designed by the one and only Thomas Truong and depicts over a dozen corgis ready to save the day. Can you name all of the corgi heroes?

Corgi Heroes comes in both black and purple colors for $19.95, and like all our designs, it's available in both male and female sizes. As always, buying over $60 worth of designs from the store will get you free shipping worldwide too.

Resident Evil: Revelations Wii U has Off-TV play

Resident Evil: Revelations Wii U has Off-TV play screenshot

Quite a few developers are feeling shy about Wii U development. They can't think of anything wild and zany to do with that wacky Wii U control pad, and apparently, they don't think their games would be fun enough to entice consumers without said wild and zany features. Doesn't show a lot of confidence, does it? Thankfully, Capcom seems less confused as to what to do with the thing. They're bringing an up-port of Resident Evil: Revelations to the Wii U (as well as PC, PS3, and Xbox 360), and they're adding some simple but worthwhile features to boot.

The ability to use the Gamepad screen for inventory management carries over from the 3DS original, but if that's not your bag, you can play the game solely off of the Gamepad, or use the Wii U Pro Controller for a more PS3/360 flavored excursion.

Personally, I'm hoping they go whole hog and allow for Wii remote and Nunchuck controls too, as Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition played like a dream. Even better would be the option to do local multi-player Raid Mode with one player on the Gamepad and the other on the TV with remote and Nunchuck. That was one of the main selling points of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the Wii U, so there is a precedent for that sort of thing.

Either way, it's nice to see a Resident Evil game that's not a on-rails shooter on a Nintendo home console again.

Another day, another third-party game not releasing for Nintendo's Wii U. This time, it's Born Ready Games' recently released deep space PC shooter Strike Suit Zero

"We talked about it, but it’s not something we’ve planned for at the moment, unfortunately," Ben Smith, Born Ready Games' community manager said to Write Trigger when asked if a Wii U version was ever a possibility. Smith added that the studio will be talking about the release of Strike Suit Zero on other consoles shortly, though was unable to mention exactly which platforms would see the release.

[Destructoid's Director of Communications Hamza Aziz asked Jonathan Holmes to make a show called 'Sup, Holmes?' so that Destructoid could later sell a t-shirt that says 'Sup, Holmes?' on it. This is that show. Subscribe to the podcast feed and find more episodes here.]

This week on Sup Holmes we're taking a break from talking to game creators by getting in touch with a fellow member of the gaming press. Matthew "Tristero" Walden is a former Destructoid editor who has gone on write for Geoff Keighley and create The Science of Games segments, both for Gametrailers TV. Since then, he's moved on to working on shows such as LA Ink and Swamp People, though that doesn't mean he's done with gaming.

We'll be talking to Matt about his experiences in the industry, how suffering from Post Traumatic Stress and playing violent videogames have affected him, and whatever else he wants to talk about. Join us at 1pm PST/4pm EST for the full experience. It's going to be packed!

LEGO Rapture looks good enough to live in

LEGO seems to inspire the sort of creativity that makes me green with envy. Tiny brick enthusiast Imagine Rigney has recreated a gorgeous, incredibly detailed LEGO version of BioShock's Rapture over the course of a year and a half, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed on Reddit. It's complete with the infamous city's psychotic denizens, an adorable Big Daddy, and lots of Andrew Ryan propaganda. It's even got the crashed plane sinking into the ocean.

On New Year I discovered my friend's box of LEGO, and we spent a lot of the evening building spaceships (and intergalactic pirate ships). We shouldn't have bothered, because none of them could compare to this monumental feat. Check out Imagine Rigney's flickr album for pictures of the whole thing. You won't be disappointed.

Help determine the buzzworthy tagline for Dark Souls 2

Help determine the buzzworthy tagline for Dark Souls 2 screenshot

Want to help the marketers working to promote Dark Souls 2? They're currently trying to determine the best tagline for the game, having a lot of competition from the previous game's one-liner, "prepare to die," and have turned to the internet for guidance.

In a post to the Dark Souls Facebook page, they're running a poll to decide which is the best of five potential catch phrases. The choices are:

  • TRANCSEND (sic) DEATH
  • INTO THE BEYOND
  • GO BEYOND DEATH
  • SURVIVE DEATH
  • SACRIFICE EVERYTHING

Right now, it's really a two-man race, with "trancsend (sic) death" holding a firm lead while "sacrifice everything" holds almost all of the remaining votes. Which do you think is the best expression to get you pumped for more unforgiving dungeon-crawling action?

Mew-Genics music reveals hints on the game's secrets

Mew-Genics music reveals hints on the game's secrets screenshot

Mew-Genics, Team Meat's next game, has been shrouded in secrecy from the start. We still don't know much about the game other than it's coming to Steam and iPad, has some gray-scale art direction, and it involves at least one pile of cats.

Ridiculon, the band scoring the game, have put out a video describing their process and experience with working on Mew-Genics, and there are quite a few revealing moments to be gleaned. If the song "cat fight" is to be taken literally, then it's safe to guess that at some point in Mew-Genics, cats will fight. As for "Black Pussy"? Its meaning remains a mystery.

I went into this video desperate for news on Edmund and Tommy's next project, but I ended up staying for the music. It's pretty darn good. Regardless of how the game turns out, I'm confident that it will sound fantastic.

PSP RPG Sword Art Online looks surprisingly good

Let's face it, the Vita is struggling. But that doesn't mean one of Sony's handhelds isn't doing well. Despite the presence of sexy new technology, the PlayStation Portable is still enjoying quite a bit of success on the other side of the Pacific. Japanese developers continue to produce new and interesting games for an audience that is still keen on devouring them.

Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment is one such title. Based on the anime of the same name, this title follows a group of gamers playing an MMO. Trouble is, they are trapped in its virtual world and should one of their avatars be killed, that person's body will also die in the real world. It's all very meta, but it looks like it could very well be a good time.
