| Posted: 08 Feb 2013 11:30 AM PST In light of Outspark shutting down operations, gamigo has picked up the assets for Fiesta Online. Fiesta Online has been a very successful MMO from the beginning, with a strong community. Fiesta Online has over 1.2 million registered users, and gamigo is eager to keep the community alive and strong as ever. As part of the change, gamigo will be relocating their officers from New York to San Francisco, and a great part of the Outspark team will join gamigo as well. No other information has been provided as to whether any of Outspark’s other titles will be picked up or continued for the North American market.

| Valentine’s Day Events for APB Reloaded Posted: 08 Feb 2013 11:19 AM PST GamersFirst has launched a new, Valentine’s Day themed event for APB Reloaded, featuring contests and a new customizable item. Players can earn a variety of rewards simply by taking down opponents. There are five different ranks, with the final rank giving a Valentine’s weapon skin to really show off. An additional challenge awaits players who use the Colby SNR 850 ‘Cherub’ secondary weapon they will receive for logging in during the week. Achieve a number of kills with this weapon, and you can unlock a brand new title as well as unlocking the weapon for permanent use. For the creative minded, APB will be having a “Rev My Engine” contest to reward people who can best trick out their vehicle. 14 winners will receive a Vehicle Selector, which gives them their choice of vehicle permanently. Finally, players can buy the new “Fallen Angel” pack on the marketplace, giving them a new title, and a halo and angel wings to customize their characters with. GamersFirst also publishes Fallen Earth.

| Grey Shores of Oblivion Opens in Knight Age Posted: 08 Feb 2013 10:54 AM PST On February 5, Joymax opened up the new area in Knight age, called the Grey Shores of Oblivion. A whole new, challenging questline awaits players on the isle. Beginning the Help Seal Helfyr questline, players will be encouraged to gather their strongest allies, and delve into Helfyr’s Lair, once home to beautiful firebirds and the Spirit King of Flames. Now cursed, players must stop the evil threatening nearby Green Shores Village by sealing the wicked Helfyr once and for all. Players who down the challenging boss will be entered into a to receive the boss Pupa Mongoose until March 5. On March 12, 20 lucky players will earn the right to summon this powerful addition, as well as a 30-day Vital Water to speed the leveling process. Joymax also publishes Silkroad Online and Digimon Masters Online.

| Two New Maps Revealed in Blacklight Retribution Posted: 08 Feb 2013 10:43 AM PST Perfect World Entertainment has provided new information on their upcoming Blacklight Retribution update, which includes two new maps for players to fight on. Players will soon be able to battle it out on the new Safehold and Metro maps. Each of the maps will support Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and Domination modes. Safehold is built around an open plaza surrounded by buildings. Agents need to be careful going out into the open, or face severe fire from all sides. Be mindful of the large pit in the area too, large enough to drop a hardsuit through. Metro, on the other hand, is all about tight hallways, sharp corners, and dark passages. Proper use of the HRV will be key, and short range weapons such as shotguns will be the go to for this battleground. Perfect World Entertainment also publishes Forsaken World and War of the Immortals. |
| Second Closed Beta Announced for Legend of Edda: Vengeance Posted: 08 Feb 2013 10:31 AM PST GamesCampus has announced the next round of closed beta testing for Legend of Edda: Vengeance will begin on February 14. The team has spent the last two months to add polish and all new content into the game from the last closed beta event. The game has been overhauled completely from the original Legend of Edda, giving players a vast amount of new features. All class stats and skills have been revamped, as well as quest and monster kill rewards. Rare and unique items, item sets, and identification has also been reintroduced in this version, giving a greater option for customization. Upgrading has seen an increased success rate, and higher bonuses at higher ranks. While Equipment Boxes and the Arena will not be immediately available for this round of testing, they are planned to be re-added in the near future. GamesCampus also publishes Asda 2 and Scarlet Legacy.
GamesCampus, alongside EYASoft, has overhauled the original Legend of Edda, and players will be amazed by the number of changes that have happened over the last year as well as the last two months. Changes between the first and second beta include a revision of all class stats and skills, quest and monster killing rewards, and more to provide better game balance and progression. Rare and unique items, item set bonuses, and the item identification system have been reintroduced in to this version to provide more variety in character building and appearance. The Upgrading system has seen significant changes, with increased success rates and improved upgrade bonuses at higher ranks. During the closed beta, Equipment Boxes and the Arena will not be available, but are planned to return in the future. Players will be able to see all of these changes, and more to be revealed, starting next week! |
