Players must use strategic wit to defeat their opponents, however, as every monster has its own strengths and weaknesses. Players obtain monsters by fighting against them in the world, and defeating them. A deck will have attack, defense, and special cards. Use of these cards at the right time will carry you to victory! Defeating them earns you a chance to have them join your forces. Each battle is different, as the cards you’re dealt are always different. It takes knowing when to use your special cards, which can have a wide variety of effects, to truly shine, as what works against one player may not always work against another. | Mabinogi Prepares for Classic Update Posted: 29 Oct 2012 11:20 AM PDT Nexon America is preparing to launch Mabinogi’s Classic Update in the coming days. The update introduces the Puppeteer talent, giving players control over two puppets, Pierrot and Colossus, to aid in battle. Puppeteers can also grab enemies on the battlefield and control them, and follow a new quest line designed to help them master their skills. A new talent system replaces the destiny system, to let players specialize their training and stats further. Several new skills are added in the system, including mining, commerce mastery, milking, mushroom gathering, and sheep shearing. Also new in the update is the Bone Dragon mount, available in several colors, and the ability for same gender couples to marry in game. "When players speak out about specific content, we do our best to deliver," said Teddy Kim, Nexon America's Mabinogi producer. "That is the great thing about Mabinogi; it allows players fully immerse themselves in the lives they take on in-game. Players can get married, fight dragons, become musicians or learn to cook. We think that opening up the wedding system to same gender characters is fully in the spirit of offering nearly limitless options to our players." Nexon also publishes MapleStory and Dragon Nest. | Darkfall Unholy Wars: DeadEye School from the Skirmisher Role Posted: 29 Oct 2012 10:14 AM PDT Darkfall Unholy Wars: DeadEye School from the Skirmisher Role Continuing from last week, we have a short video for you showcasing the Deadeye school from the Skirmisher role. A Deadeye is extremely skilled with the bow, and can utilize it to damage single targets or even small groups.
Here is a brief rundown of the Deadeye skills: Puncture: A magically imbued arrow attack that can travel through enemies, and damaging everyone in its' path. Exploit Weakness: A debuffing attack that greatly reduces a target's arrow protection. Explosive Arrow: An explosive arrow attack that will damage everyone around the area of impact. Trueshot: A very powerful arrow shot, that offers extreme speed, accuracy and damage. An arrow shot with Trueshot will travel in a completely straight line, with no arc. Salvo (Ultimate): A devastating barrage of arrows fall from the sky towards the Salvo's point of impact. Everyone affected by Salvo's deadly rain will suffer serious damage and will be unable to sprint for a short duration.
