| SOE Live 2012 PlanetSide 2 Interview Posted: 25 Oct 2012 04:59 PM PDT SOE Live 2012 PlanetSide 2 Interview with Associate Game Designer Adam Clegg Just before SOE made the big announcement for the launch date of PlanetSide 2 I got the chance to once again talk with Adam Clegg, the Associate Game Designer on PlanetSide 2. I wanted ask whats coming to the game , what player feed back has offered them in terms of changing the game, what they were planning on doing to the meta game to try and keep players playing way into the future, and there is always the question about problems with griefing.

| Open Beta Date Announced for Arctic Combat Posted: 25 Oct 2012 03:47 PM PDT  Webzen has announced that Arctic Combat will begin open beta on December 6. The tactical shooter has been gathering feedback during closed beta and the team is hard at work to improve the game to optimize it for players’ best experience. While the clock counts down, Arctic Combat will reveal new details through its Facebook page, and hold user-events through the official Arctic Combat website. Arctic Combat will be holding its North American and European region finals on October 27 and 28; the winning teams will be invited to South Korea for the Veterans League World Championship during G-Star 2012. Jihun Lee, Head of Global Publishing, said, "We are very excited to announce our official open beta date for Arctic Combat the anticipated high quality contents and service." Also he said, "We look forward to seeing who will become the first to represent their region at the World Championship finals." |
| Shot Online Reveals User Interface Facelift Posted: 25 Oct 2012 03:36 PM PDT GamesCampus has released a sneak peek today of an upcoming overhaul for Shot Online.
“After eight years, it was time to update even the most favorite, tried-and-true aspects of Shot Online, and that included a full modernization of the user interface,” said Hubert Yee, Head of Marketing at GamesCampus. “Players will be amazed when they see how much has changed while still retaining the most important information at their fingertips!”
Shot Online’s new UI tracks stats including Holes-In-One, Albatross, Eagles, Chip-Ins, accuracy, longest drive, and more. Portraits will change as players earn achievements and titles to reflect their veteran status. Course selection has been streamlined, and now includes a random course selection plus a “Total Random” option.
Chat functions have been improved to let players choose font size, window size, transparency, and use copy and paste. Chat now also includes a quick scroll option, using the ALT and left or right arrow keys, to let players flip through different game channels.
GamesCampus also publishes Scarlet Legacy and Heroes in the Sky.

| Wartune Arrives On Aeria Games Posted: 25 Oct 2012 02:58 PM PDT Aeria Games has announced the launch of Wartune, a real-time strategy MMORPG.
Wartune comes fully armed with deep gameplay options and a high level of polish. Players always have plenty to do: take on missions in campaign mode, upgrade the buildings in their town, capture resource nodes, and attend to their personal farms for additional income. And when players want to take on the toughest challenges, they can assault gigantic world bosses alongside hundreds of their peers and test their mettle against other players in arena battles.
The fast-paced interactive combat is one of Wartune's strongest weapons. Players charge into battle with their chosen character along with two contingents of troops, exchanging blows automatically with enemies. Meanwhile, players can generate rage through an array of combat abilities and spend it to activate their most powerful skills. Quick-time events requiring fast reflexes are also built into many of the strongest abilities to keep players on their toes!
To celebrate the launch of Wartune on Aeria Browser, Aeria Games is running several events to reward dedicated players both in-game and on Facebook, such as contests to award prizes to high-level alliances and top players for the first two weeks. Even more promotional events will also run through the game's first month.

| Autumn Update Arrives For Jade Dynasty Posted: 25 Oct 2012 02:12 PM PDT Perfect World Entertainment has launched its fall update for Jade Dynasty. The star of the update is the Citadel Savage, a new endgame boss found in the Imperial Citadel. Players who defeat the beast and survive its wrath can earn a special transformation gem and other rare prizes. The update also improves the pet interface, allowing players to purchase upgrades from a single window; allows low-level players to experiment with abilities and specializations for free; adds more mount and skyblade slots; and optimizes the Ancient Land with eight Skylords. | Dark Blood Battle Pets Premier Today Posted: 25 Oct 2012 01:50 PM PDT The first six battle pets have arrived in Dark Blood in today’s update. Available in the Premium Store and through player trades, battle pets begin as an egg and may be nurtured and developed into eccentric combat companions. The six battle pets available today are: - Spark: A flaming fur ball that sizzles and singes anything that comes close. - Glutton: A Venus Flytrap with Mick Jagger lips and peashooter range attacks. - Worm: A slithery crawler whose sudden swoops sends enemies flying. - Parrot: The swashbuckling buddy with buffs that block damage. - Lizard: A dino reptile that flips, somersaults, and bounces off the baddies. - Snail: The wicked creeper that decreases skill cool down time. “Dark Blood Battle Pets is by far one of the most exciting content updates we’ve had to date.
