| Saints Row: The Third PS3 Buyers Get Saints Row 2 for Free Posted: 16 Nov 2011 09:59 PM PST Those who purchase a new copy of Saints Row: The Third on PlayStation 3 and redeem their online pass code soon enough are entitled to a free copy of Saints Row 2. During Sony’s E3 press conference in June, it was announced that an exclusive mode of some sort would be included in the PS3 version of The Third. It was reported yesterday that the promised bonus appeared to be missing; the console versions of the game seem to be identical and THQ wasn’t willing to comment on the situation. That changed today as THQ announced the bonus gamers would be getting is actually a free copy of the digital version of Saints Row 2. To get it you’ll need to redeem the online pass code included with new copies of The Third within 90 days of the game’s release (by midnight on February 13, 2012). Saints Row 2 (pictured above) is a $20 game if you buy it from the PlayStation Store, so from that standpoint, it’s a pretty good deal. For those who already own it (or simply don’t want it) and were counting on an exclusive mode that couldn’t be had elsewhere, this might be somewhat of a letdown. The missing exclusive followed not long after a similar situation with Battlefield 3. Gamers who picked up the game on PS3 were supposed to get a free copy of Battlefield 1943 (a bonus announced at the same time as The Third’s exclusive). That didn’t pan out and those on PS3 will instead get early access to BF3 expansion packs. Posted by: admin in Gaming News Thank you for Visiting Gameforumer.com, Hope you enjoyed the stay with us. |

Being the ever carebear who hates online shooters, luckily for me there is the AI mode. Think of it as something similar to the bots found in Counter-Strike. There are 5 different levels of AI here, with me playing the middle difficulty most of the time. I tried the hardest AI mode, and the whole human team literally got spawn camped… Players will be gaining lesser experience points in AI maps compared to the others. Bummer. Customization wise, character models are pretty standard, no females, you can’t really change your facial looks, and most of the customization will only happen if you get some stuff from the cash shop. However, weapons can be customized for free, including adding the nozzles, changing its color etc. While I am sure there will be cash shop exclusive stuff, for now it works fine for me.

| PlayStation Network Going Down for Half a Day Posted: 16 Nov 2011 09:54 AM PST If your plans for Thursday include being online on the PlayStation Network, you may want to start coming up with a backup plan now. Sony will be taking the service down for roughly 14 hours tomorrow. Sony says this is merely for routine maintenance, though if that were the case, it’d be nice if it were scheduled to take place at night — PSN will be offline from 8am until 10pm Pacific (11am to 1am Eastern) on November 17. During that stretch you won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store from a PS3 or PSP, PSN account management, and PSN account registration. The ability to log in from the U.S. PlayStation website will also be restricted. Strangely, as has been the case in the past, some lucky users may continue to be able to play online during the maintenance. It’s strange in that you don’t know exactly what you may or may not be able to do, but that’s not such a bad thing; at least there’s still a shred of hope you’ll be able to play Uncharted 3 online during the day tomorrow. As is always the case with downtime, there’s no need to worry about losing out on any Trophies you earn while playing offline. Once service is fully resumed tomorrow night they’ll be added to your online profile. Posted by: admin in Gaming News Thank you for Visiting Gameforumer.com, Hope you enjoyed the stay with us. |
