| Join 1UP and IGN for Our Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Live Stream Posted: 12 Nov 2011 09:29 AM PST What: 1UP and IGN’s Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Live Stream To kick off this week’s final flurry of high-profile game releases for 2011, 1UP and IGN will be teaming up to live stream one of the most anticipated titles of the year on Monday morning. Come read our review of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, then watch us show off the game. At 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14 (Pacific Time), Jeremy Parish, Thierry Nguyen, and Ryan Winterhalter will be killing Templars and harassing citizens in the city of Constantinople (not Istanbul) as well as exploring Revelations’ expanded multiplayer component. Then, at noon, you can refresh this page or head over to IGN to check out their in-depth look at the different kinds of missions available to the game’s three playable protagonists. And what would a live stream be without fabulous prizes? Ubisoft has kindly donated a dozen Ezio statues that we’ll be giving away to the people who ask us the most interesting questions about Revelations via Twitter. Just tweet a question our way (@1up) with the hashtag #acr and you could win your very own Ezio (provided you’re over the age of 18 and live in the U.S. — sorry, our legal department says that’s how it’s gotta be). At the end of our portion of the stream, we’ll also be giving away the grand prize package: An Ezio statue and PlayStation 3 copies of both Revelations and its predecessor Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. I am currently deciding how many of those showgirl pictures I am going to post and in what way… posting the full pictures directly on the blog will cause the front page news to lessen you see… But putting them in a small player does the girls no justice… hmn… well, till tomorrow! It’s not the best of times to find a cheap distraction. That’s not to say there isn’t anything worth your money. Amazon is offering the Men of War Collection for $10, a purchase that will get you a credit to purchase a digital version of Men of War: Vietnam for $10. If that’s not your thing, Amazon also has the digital PC versions of Battlefield 3 for $50.99, Civilization V: Game of the Year Edition for $39.99, and L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition for $39.99. Steam has an unusually small number of games on sale this week. If you’re a racing fan, however, you might be in luck — F1 2011 and Dirt 3 are each $24.99. Also of note is the Game of the Year Edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum continuing to be just $6.79 from GamersGate, a hell of a cheap price for such a terrific game. With Black Friday coming up on November 25, there’s going to be no shortage of terrific deals to be had before long. While it’s not directly related to any deals or discounts, American Express has launched a campaign called Small Business Saturday. Consumers are being encouraged to support local small business owners — arcades, mom and pop stores, and other things of that nature — on Saturday, November 26.
